Living on Campus
It’s exciting and a little scary to move out on your own for the first time. As you venture off to college, you’ll most likely move away from your parents and may live with people you have never met before. At DBU, students have several on–campus living options to help them transition to life on their own while being surrounded by a supportive and, not to mention fun, community. From traditional residence halls to apartments and townhomes, DBU’s rich residence life provides students with the opportunity to learn how to live with others, experience different cultures or backgrounds, and organize their time to fit in studying, working, and social activities in a Christ-centered community.

Williamsburg Village Townhomes
The Williamsburg Village Townhomes provides another exciting option for students to live on campus. Living in the townhomes gives residents a unique community in which to live and thrive.
The townhomes are two-story, three-bedroom and bath homes that include all appliances that one would need, as well as walk-in closets and upstairs study areas. Situated in the picturesque lot on the north part of campus, this community features: unique Williamsburg-inspired exterior colors, front porches, and close proximity to classrooms and athletic fields.
To ease the transition of living on your own and to help students with day–to–day needs, the University employs Resident Assistants (RAs).
The RAs are current students who live in the Residence Halls with other students and serve as mentors and leaders for their floor. They assist students with any needs that arise, and they plan a multitude of community events each semester for the Hall. Each semester all students living in the residence halls have the opportunity to apply to be a RA and provide that vital leadership needed in each Residence Hall.
In addition to RAs, each Hall has a Resident Director, which is a full–time staff member assigned to assist the residents of that Hall and oversee the RAs.
Parking and The Patriot Shuttle
Dallas Baptist University provides free parking to all students, and there are no restrictions on a student's ability to bring a car to campus. Students will register their vehicles and be given a DBU parking permit when they register for classes. They will be given a map of lots at that time where they may legally park their vehicles.
Dallas Baptist University boasts a beautiful and picturesque campus. Part of the attempt to continue to achieve that atmosphere on campus requires that many parking lots are located on the peripheral of campus. When parking in a lot not adjacent to your destination is required, the University provides a shuttle system. The Patriot Shuttle system runs busses and vans around campus picking up at designated stops and delivering passengers to their destination. It's as simple as that.
