DBU Basketball

At Dallas Baptist University, the Patriot Athletic Department offers varsity athletic programs that include a NCAA Division I men’s baseball team and NCAA Division II men's basketball, men’s and women’s cross-country/track, cheerleading, golf and tennis, as well as women’s soccer and volleyball teams, which compete in the Heartland Conference. All intercollegiate athletic teams also hold membership in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

The DBU Athletic staff is dedicated to developing their student-athletes into Champions for Christ both on and off the field of competition. Our coaches are intentional about recruiting and discipling student-athletes of strong Christian character and background. Each intercollegiate athletic team has weekly team Bible studies, as well as small group discipleship lead by upperclassmen.

At DBU, student-athletes have the opportunity to grow in their faith as well as develop their athletic potential. Student-athletes from across the nation are drawn to DBU for its academic excellence and quality athletic programs. From mentoring and discipleship opportunities to dynamic integration of faith in the classroom and service in the community, DBU athletes are encouraged to deepen their walk with Christ and to serve as Christian leaders.
